Rent to Own Student Writer Program

Get a good quality refurbished steno machine without the high price or long term commitment of a normal lease. All of our writers are fully warranted and come with toll-free tech support.  We have programs designed for any financial level, starting at just $20.00 per month.  Renting a machine through Stenotech will help establish your credit and allow you to upgrade whenever you choose.  Every month 50% of your rental goes toward either buying the machine or upgrading.  You can't beat that!  We will modify the keyboard for you with wide DZ & * keytops if you need them.  There's no additional fee for that service.  There's a small $25.00 shipping charge for nationwide delivery due when the item ships.  If you would like expedited service simply give us a call.


Applicant Requirements


1. Valid Driver's License or State ID

2. Major Credit Card either in your name or your co-signor's name.

3. If you are between 17 - 21 years old, we would require a parent or guardian as a co-signor.

4. A security deposit is required at the time of your order.

Disclosure: To cover our costs for a Bronze or Silver rental a $50.00 re-stocking fee will be charged when returning the machine.  On the Gold and Platinum rentals a $75.00 restocking fee will be charged. On the Diamond rental a $100.00 restocking fee will be charged. The renter is responsible for any damage to the machine or accessories.  Stenotech reserves the right to deduct any damages from the deposit.  The balance of your security deposit will be refunded to you within 30 days of the receipt of the equipment.  You will personally be liable for any charges or costs even if your bank declines the charges on the credit card.
